Server Properties file in NBODE
There are some pointed additions to the server bootup process and features in
Noticeably Beta 1.8. These have existed since quite some time before the
Alpha 1.0.0 version of NBODE came out.
If you just want to skip ahead, here's a template server properties file to get you started.

New flags in Noticeably Beta 1.8
Private Seed
private-seed=
If set to
true, people will not be able to see the seed you used
to generate your server world in the debug overlay.
In further toward the future versions of Minecraft, seeing the seed that
a server uses by pressing F3 is completely off with no options by default.
I don't know how it is in 2026 vanilla Minecraft, but those versions do
exist.
This mod gives every server owner the option to hide the seed. This can be
useful if you're trying to prevent some kind of stupid exploit that a troll
could use to spoil where a Stronghold is or something, I don't know. The
client of server players gives their F3 a clear message that states that
the seed visibility has been turned off.
Hard Mattress Mode
hard-mattress-mode=
Hard Mattress Mode is the game option where if true, sleeping in a bed will
play the animation but when you get out of the bed it will still be night.
It makes the day-night cycle more of a threat. However, the option in the
server.properties file is not entirely straightforward.
To make your server world file generate with the Hard Mattress Mode setting,
put the text
true at the end of the
hard-mattress-mode= line.
But if you don't put anything, not even
false, the actual level.dat
file in the folder will decide whether Hard Mattress Mode is on instead.
The purpose of this stickler was to make it so that the server host can
change Hard Mattress Mode to be on or off on the server they run without
having to edit the world file, just in case their HMM setting doesn't work
out. No other server property in NBODE has this kind of conditionality right
now.
Map Features
map-features=
Believe it or not, this flag wasn't a thing in servers running Beta 1.8,
even though the feature could be toggled on world creation in singleplayer
mode. This behaves as you would expect if you know the meaning of "map
features" already. That is, setting it to
true will ensure that
Villages, Strongholds, and Mineshafts generate naturally inside the world.
Disable Far Structures
disable-far-structures=
Independent of "Map Features", this is a flag you can turn on if you want
the original Beta 1.8 structures - edited a bit though they are - but
you
don't want any of the new generated structures from NBODE.
In Alpha 1.0.0 there is only one of these.
And finally...
Authentication servers for Beta 1.8.1 are currently down, and there's not
much I can do about that. You might want to set
online-mode to
false.
