Blocks
Cobblestone
In Noticeably Beta 1.8 the cobblestone
texture is automatically reverted to pre-piston appearance.
Concrete
This block and its slabs and stairs look like
cobblestone normally does in Beta 1.8. Crafted with gravel and cobblestone.
Emerald Ore
The first ore added to Noticeably Beta 1.8. It
can be turned into tools, and is between cobblestone and iron in strength and longevity.
While being hidden from air, it only generates in high stone locations.
Soilstone
A building block, one of the very first few blocks added in development. Crafted with dirt
and stone. NBODE's answer to different colours of rock that don't alter the look of the
underground. Currently can't be turned into slabs or stairs.
Soilstone Cobble
The cobblestone version of the soilstone building block. Crafted with dirt and cobblestone.
Also can't be turned into slabs or stairs. Texture took months to get right.
Broad Sandstone
A sandstone variant that has the rough surface on every side. Crafted simply by inputting one sandstone.
Varnished Sandstone
A sandstone variant that has the smooth surface on every side. Crafted with nine sandstone blocks, 1:1 conversion.
Varnished Stone
Yes, NBODE has this. No, Minecraft versions from Release 1.0+ and back did not already let you have this.
Crafted with nine stone blocks, 1:1 conversion.
Varnished Soilstone
Crafted with nine soilstone blocks, 1:1 conversion. You can turn soilstone cobble into soilstone by heating it
in a furnace, if you really want to.
Soilstone Bricks
This one is just really good. Four soilstone blocks.
Tile
A hard block to program, this cubic meter of alternating squares has six consistent sides that form a virtually 64-cube 3D-checkered pattern,
and graphically it should be extra good for your floors. Comes in only this colour currently. Crafted with
varnished stone and bonemeal, plus either an ink sac or charcoal.
Hard Sand
This block can be used to make secretive supported sand bases. It looks like sand on every surface other than the top, and
doesn't fall. Crafted with three sand, and then either dirt or one bonemeal.
Inspired by an episode of Ren & Stimpy that I watched in 2023 while in a shocking state.
Sazmit Ore
A second ore that was added in the same ultra-early version of Noticeably BODE
as emerald ore. Not only is this the new strongest tool and armour material in this way to play Beta 1.8.1, but regular
diamonds have been weakened, because of the notion that diamonds are just too common. Notable for an infamous pickaxe
bug that let the wrong pickaxe mine it in Alpha 1.0.0 of the mod. It can be mined with any pickaxe that's made out of gemstones.
Mineral Gravel
A special gravel variant in higher altitudes that doesn't fall and drops either random powders or itself. Do not try to
get a new item by mining the same mineral gravel over and over, the random selection doesn't work like that.
Block of Iron Pyrite
You can get this metal storage block by smelting and fusing nine yellow dust items. Be wary, though, it's a poor man's
flair brag.
Loose Tarmac
A building block in a family of six that was developed for the purpose of aiding in the building of Minecraft Beta
roads. Craft this one with sand and cobblestone. This comes in black and white as well. It falls unless you use a furnace to seal it.
